Red Squirrel Willow Sculpture

This red squirrel willow sculpture has been hand-crafted to show it in its typical form, holding a nut. In association with the Rare Breed Survival Trust you can show your support by placing one of these red squirrel willow sculptures in your garden, on a wall, or below a tree.

Hand-crafted by talented artist Emma Stothard, who was able to start up her business with a loan from The Prince’s Trust, was invited by His Majesty to exhibit her willow sculptures, including this red squirrel, on the Orchard Lawns at Highgrove.

Sculpted from British willow, interwoven with wire and bronze wire and shaped around a steel armature, the contrasting willow colours in this red squirrel create form and definition. Each sculpture is finished with a coating of linseed oil and turpentine solution to preserve and protect it.
